20180826 Weekly Update

A final August update before we conclude the month and venture forth into September.  Hot days are now becoming tolerable and cool nights have arrived.  I am adjusting to my new location at work and am still tackling the changes to my revision.  I now find myself working with time management and am considering taking part in something called Toast Masters.  To my understanding, it involves human interaction of some sort.  Truly one of the more frightening ventures I have contemplated.

IGTV vids continue to post on a weekly basis and I am surprised how much fun it is to illustrate my short words for the world to see.  I intend to add more in the coming months and will hopefully find a way to add some sneak peeks into my books in the process.  What an age of miracles we live in! 😊

For my fave post on Instagram this week, I chose the bunny.  Plot bunnies are my favorite animal to toss into a story.  They can alter the world as we know it and make every difficult moment one of hopeful expectations.  Onwards!

Facebook can be a distraction, a means of connecting with the world or an escape.  I continue to find fascination with the platform as I find more posts to contribute to. 

My fave post this week was another one asking about reality.  Strange how so many people inquire about something that is so easily controlled.  Oh, well…

Question: What do you guys do to escape reality?

My Answer:   Read, Write, Draw, Design, Take Pix, Listen to Music, Watch movies, shows and travel through time when I get the chance. Other than that… not much. 🤠

My final personal note this week is in regards to connections.  I have always had difficulty connecting with others simply because I have spent too much time working.  The easiest thing to do in life is lose yourself in the repetition of the familiar and forget that we are social by nature.  Finding others to connect with is important.  That is why we are always seeking ways to share what we create, be it words on a page, songs from our hearts or kindness with a stranger.  We have many gifts within that need to be shared. 

We know this because if someone had shared them with us at the right moment, our lives would have been much improved so we are prompted to do the same.  I hope we all find that special spark of passion within that must be shared as it will light the rest of the world for one and all.  Onwards! 😊
