20180513 Weekly Update
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there! I know the job is often thankless and deserves far more appreciation than a single day but know that regardless of daily expressions of praise, you are always on a pedestal in our hearts.
This week has been interesting to say the least. My video blog is out, the monthly newsletter made its appearance on time and I have set my sights on the future of my creative journey. (Fingers crossed!) A few additional updates will be provided since this is becoming something of an extended events log in my world but with luck, the coming book releases will also include some extras that will make the release worth the wait. Onwards! 😊
My fave Instagram this week was on par with my video post. I always love it when I walk by at the right time and see the sun shining through to make nature shine with light and life. 😊
When we overcome daily doubts, barriers and challenges, we become the conquerors of our dreams, passions and life. Onwards! +
Facebook is still full of interesting things. I’ve joined dozens of groups and am grateful to see I am not alone in my creative endeavors. The fave post this week was someone who posed a question regarding what we would do if someone from the realm of fantasy came up to us in real life. I thought about it for about a half-second. 😊
Question: What would you say to someone who came in the middle of the night asking you to come along and race dragons in the moonlight?
My answer: Hold on a sec. I’ll get my sword. 🤠
Final personal note: Although I am pushing myself to write, draw, illustrate and edit videos on a regular basis, I still put in time to read, watch movies, shows and check out online communities. (No, I don’t sleep in healthy doses.)
I just wrapped up Altered Carbon (the book) and am watching the show on NetFlix. Almost at half a season and already seeing the differences from the written material. I wonder what it would be like to see one of my works put into the realm of television or a movie and still can’t quite picture it. Some of my friends have said they can see it easily but then again, I see it in my head with far more clarity than a screen. Who knows? Someday I may be watching my tales unfold on the big screen alongside some of you. Who knows?
I am now reading Ender’s Shadow and am very impressed with the story, characters and world created. Ah, scifi, you provide a banquet for those of us who always hunger for more…
Until next week: Onwards!
