20180225 Weekly Update
I hope everyone has had a good February to date. I enjoyed watching The Black Panther this last week and am looking forward to the next big movie with all my fave heroes taking on the biggest baddie to date. I often envy movie reviewers who get to check out sneak peeks at much-anticipated flicks coming up. Oh, well… That’s why the rest of us make box office records. 😊
The month of love is closing quickly. I’m still hammering away at the editing process. The drama of life continues to play with my time but I now find my monthly Vlogs a source of entertainment and encouragement. Those, along with my Instagram posts are making the difficulties of life tolerable. Soon, tax time will be over and the year will be in full swing. Onwards!
The fave Instagram I posted this last week was taken near the top of Elfin Mountain:
Your deepest hope, your greatest dream and your ultimate passion is out in the world… waiting for you to go out and take it. Onwards! +
The fave post I replied to in Facebook left me chuckling:
Question posted: …Sending out some of my overflowing creative energy to my fellow writers!
My answer: No thanks. I’m good. No, really! Stop throwing those at me! Come on! Unicorns? What’s with the goldfish riding a dragon? I can’t use that! Talking animals? I’ve already got those. Well, okay. The zombie werewolf looks cool. Thanks for sharing.
A final personal note: I will soon be finishing Ripples of Mind, sending it out into the world and moving on to the latest and greatest. It has been a long time coming, but I still hope the new book is all I’ve been trying to make it and all that my readers have been looking forward to. There are new challenges, an expansion of characters and choices made that will take our heroes into new and more dangerous directions.
I just finished reading Paradox Bound, a book by Peter Clines. It was a great read and I look forward to his next great book. I am now reading Artemis by Andy Weir. It is interesting and has far more world-building than I have put into Black Wall which is making me second guess a few things. Artemis takes place on the moon and my book Black Wall takes place (mostly) on Mars. I am enjoying Artemis and hope for a satisfying ending. I definitely enjoyed The Martian, so I have my fingers crossed. Regardless, when the time comes, all of our stories are sent out into the world, carrying a little piece of the worlds we keep inside. All we can do is hope they are well-received. Onwards!
